This manual was published in 1986 by the Taft Group. It grew out of a consulting project in Minnesota that was funded by a number of companies and foundations who were interested in understanding how community organizations might improve their financial stability by finding money-making activities that were aligned with their missions.

The book is out of print, but a handful of used copies are still listed for sale on the Internet.
